The PM school horse tournaments presented by HKM is a format that was created to make it easier for school horse riders to start competing. Furthermore, the school horse is the key to equestrian sport: Entry into equestrian sport takes place via school horses and thus school horses form the foundation of equestrian sport.

While HKM supported 40 events in 2023, this figure had risen to 60 by 2024. The clubs selected for support receive honorary prizes and merchandise vouchers as well as four Hobby Horses each for organising a competition. HKM's commitment also includes the coverage of organisational and licence fees. In total, the sponsorship budget provided by HKM amounts to a high five-figure sum. The selected organisers will also receive sets of ribbons for 8 competitions and 10 posters to advertise the tournament from the FN's Personal Members.

Many of the products in the HKM range have been specially developed for beginners in equestrian sport and for entry into competition sport. That is why HKM is happy to support events for beginners and young riders.

As part of the school horse tournaments, organisers can advertise various competitions in accordance with the WPO. These include

- Competitions in handling the horse

- Skill competitions

- Lead rein and lunge competitions

- Riding competitions

- Dressage riding and dressage competitions

- Show jumping and style jumping competitions

- Combined competitions

- Cross-country competitions

- Hobby horsing competitions

We as HKM support the format of the school horse tournament to enable riders who do not have their own horse to enter the competition sport under fair conditions. If competitions are organised exclusively for school horse riders, this ensures more equal opportunities and thus also sustainable motivation for young riders.
