Find your perfect riding boot

A riding boot should sit comfortably on the foot and snugly on the calf, but without pinching. This is important so that the rider's leg has close contact with the horse. Riding boots should end just below the back of the knee at the back and just below the kneecap at the front. Please note that riding boots settle a little during the break-in period and therefore appear slightly shorter afterwards. Riding boots with a zip or lacing, such as those in HKM's range, are tighter around the ankle and therefore sit less than a classic dressage boot without a zip or lacing.

The calf width should be measured in the afternoon or evening, ideally with breeches and riding socks if necessary. Measure with a tape measure at the thickest part of the calf and use the larger number as a guide if the values differ.
