An important contribution to climate protection is sustainably produced electricity. As early as 2003, long before the "Fridays for Future" climate movement, we began installing a solar system on each of our company buildings. Initially, HKM aimed to produce electricity sustainably for its own needs.

By now, there is a photovoltaic system on every one of our company buildings - this corresponds to an area of around 5,400 m². With a maximum peak of 1.14 megawatts, we currently produce more than ten times as much electricity as we need. We feed the surplus electricity into the local power grid and thus contribute to a sustainable energy supply in the Grafschaft Bentheim region.
