Which riding boot model suits you best depends on your riding habits on the one hand and on your personal taste on the other. Basically, it can be said that every boot model from HKM is suitable for every type of riding. However, most dressage riders prefer a reinforced, firmer outer shaft. Experts also speak of "stiffening" the outside. The stiffened outside of the boot can contribute to good leg posture when dressage riding. If this is important to you, look for the feature "slightly stiffened outside" when buying boots. Furthermore, in dressage you will often see riding boot models with high dressage arches on the outside. A high dressage arch visually stretches the leg. Some models also have an embellishment on the dressage arch, which gives the pair even more glamour, glitz and individuality.

Jumping riders, eventers and leisure riders, on the other hand, usually prefer a soft boot. The arch is often kept a little lower, so that the boot is comfortable to wear even when riding with short stirrups.

Incidentally, all riding boot models from HKM have both a zip and an elastic insert. Thanks to the zip, the riding boots can be put on and taken off quickly. The elastic insert ensures that your riding boots fit well at any time of day, in summer and winter. Which boot colour suits you best is a matter of taste. In classical competition sport, black is still worn almost exclusively. The Performance Test Regulations of the FN (LPO) prescribe a dark colour. So there is nothing to stop you wearing blue or dark brown riding boots during a competition.

For leisure riding you have a free choice anyway. Many riders coordinate the colour of their boots with the rest of their outfit.
